So, here goes the yr in review.
We have changed the way we homeschool!! I loved the ABeka DVD's but Leah was gettin tired of them since she had been doing them since K4. Well, I did some research and we are now doing Saxon Math, Easy Grammar, ABeka Science and History and Spelling Challenge. Leah is enjoying school so much more and she has learned ALOT. It's a lot more relaxed and not so regimented which is more of our lifestyle, since we are on the go so much.

Leah turned 10 this year and she is a beautiful girl on the inside and outside. She has such a big heart and loves people and is so giving. Aubrey turned 3 and he is a VERY active lil man. My Daddy calls him a Tasmanian Devil cause he's always going and sometimes in circles. He loves his family and is into everything.

I think the biggest change that has come this year is that we aren't traveling with Kendall anymore. Leah decided she wanted to stay home, she was tired of making friends then having to leave them and she just really wanted to be at home. I was ready to come home too! So after much prayer and talking it over, Kendall and I decided we would stay home. And it's worked out really well since his job this summer has only been 2 hrs from home. After we decided we would stay home, the Lord laid it on my heart to ask our home church about starting Awana. Well, Daddy said he had always heard good things about Awana and he had been praying that God would put it on someone's heart to do this. And for some reason God chose me :) It has been crazy trying to get everything organized to fit into our schedule but I think it's finally coming all together. We start Awana on September 14th and God has blessed me with an awesome Awana staff, people who loved the Lord and want to see kids saved, what more could ya ask for.

Now, for the next change. Kendall will be starting work for a new company next week and we are so excited about it. This new company mostly works in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas so that means he will usually be pretty close to home. Ya know it's just amazing how things work out when you put it in God's Hands and leave it there. Hopefully it won't be so long till the next update.

Tennessee

Just a few pics from one of the most beautiful places God made!! Being away from family and friends is hard, but I think the hardest part is church. What I mean by that is finding a new church is always so hard. I have figured out that other than Kendall and the kids, the thing I personally need most is a good church. I need to be part of a group who belives that Jesus is the only way to get to Heaven and that sometimes is hard to find. We've been to churches that say as long as you have good intentions you'll get there or if you'v lived a good life at the end HE will weigh out your good and bad deeds and it the good out way the bad then you'll get to Heaven. Been to churches where the Pastor just spoke about LOVE and love is what we all need to have, never presented the plan of salvation or told people how to get to Heaven.

I need a church where the gospel is preached, where the preacher really preaches, preaches that JESUS and only JESUS is the way to Heaven, how to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. That once you accept HIM, HE will change you and you will never be the same. A church that is glad you are there, a church that has wonderful music, a church that is there to love and help those in need, not a church that just entertains. So many churches these days think entertainment is where it is and I LOVE a good Christian concert, or play but once ya get em there tell em how it is. Life is not all good and easy once you start this walk with the Lord but it's the only walk I want. I need a good preacher who preaches the word and isn't afraid to call sin, sin, one that thinks you should hate the sin and love the sinner. THAT is the thing that's the hardest part of not being in Louisiana or Mississippi, tryin to find a good church like our home church or Northcrest and tryin to find a good preacher like my Daddy or Dr. Dan Lanier.

There are so many things I miss while we are gone but this, to me is the most important thing!

<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; Kendall is very excited to be closer to his family. I think it will be different cause we've never been this close to his family before.

A month ago today we laid my sweet Mamaw's body to rest and it still seems like she should be here. I miss her so much, but I know where she is and she's with my babies and all those she loves.

We are gonna be startin school a little late this year cause we finished up a little late. We asked Leah if she would like to go to school while we are in Meridian and she said NOOOO so I guess another year of homeschoolin will get started in a few weeks.

Last week

As most of you know last week was a very hard week for our family. Last Monday, the kids and I went to the hospital to be with Daddy as he had his surgery. Tuesday, I took the kids to the babysitter and went and spent the day at the hospital. Tuesday on my way home, there was this little voice that kept sayin "you need to go see Mamaw". I didn't want to go see her the way she was, her leg had been amputated and she was pretty much in a comotose state. Well, I went to see her and my sweet, sweet Mamaw was resting peacefully. She was so small, she weighed only 80 lbs, was under oxygen and was just sleeping. My Aunt Mary told me "Daisy May we are gonna go to the fmaly room and you tell her whatever you want her to know." I stood there for awhile just brushin her hair, holdin her hand and cryin. Finally I was able to tell her what I wanted to tell her, I told her that we were blessed with the most amazing Mamaw that God could have ever given us, that I knew she was tired and she needed to go and rest, to be with Papaw, Uncle David, Carol, mine & Me'Chelle's babies and her Momma & Poppa. Mamaw always wanted us to take her to see her Momma. I told her it was o.k. to go and that we would always love her and miss her but that we would see her again one day.

Wednesday morning I was rockin Aubrey back to sleep while my Mamaw was on her way to rock my other 3 babies and L.W. & Me'Chelle's babies and I truly believe that as soon as she got there they were all there to meet her and as soon as she went and fell at the feet of her Lord and Savior they all had a good time meeting each other. Her goin home service was an amazing service, the Lord was definately there with us. We did just what she wanted, she wanted a singing with a salvation message preached and it was awesome. We videoed it since Daddy wasn't able to come and he was so upset that he couldn't preach the message at the service but Bro. Ed Smith did an awesome job. My Mamaw looked like she always did she was so beautiful, she looked like the Mamaw we always knew. We played the song, "She Loved" at her funeral and that was soooo her. She loved more than anything else, she loved. We all miss her terribly but we know she is free from pain and she is with the ones she loved.

Daddy is doin good he's home from the hospital and Mamaw is perfect, free from pain and is waitin on all of us to get to Heaven.

My Hero

Sometimes when you think of a hero you think of some super hero or some big strong man. When I think of a hero I think of my dear sweet Mamaw Crain. She has been an incredible influence on so many lives that she probably won't even know how many lives she's touched till she gets to Heaven.

Some of my earliest memories are of Mamaw, I can remember sittin on her kitchen counter helpin her make cornbread when I was about 3. She had such patience and was just the most wonderful person to be around. My Mamaw was a preacher's wife and when I think of what a pastor's wife should be I think of her. She was such a servant, she had 4 kids in 4 years and had no electricity, or running water. She took care of them all and I think her hardest job was takin care of Papaw. She always had something good cooked and I always wanted to be like her. I remember her playin the piano and singing, I also remember how everything had to be just right with her, her clothes, her makeup and everything she did had to be almost perfect.

There's a song by the Hempills called I learned about Jesus in Grandmas Rockin Chair and I used to sing that song for her all the time. Ya know it's so true, all of us grandkids and great grandkids learned about Jesus from Mamaw.

It's been a couple of years since Mamaw has known who we are and has been able to carry on a conversation with us but when we go see her she knows we are somebody loves and that we love her. She is so tired and weary now and we are prayin that someday soon she's will go to sleep and wake up in Heaven where there are so many people she loves and wants to be with. Life will be hard without her but there is no doubt in my mind that when she gets to Heaven after she's seen her Lord and Savior she'll be rockin my babies. Heaven is truly soundin sweeter all the time.

Finally doin this

O.k. y'all here it is.
